Imperceptible
'Imperceptible' is a series of work based on several visits to Beijing during the winter months. I explored the old and historic 'hutongs' (a type of traditional narrow street made up of courtyard residences) and I was captivated by the sharp winter light and the ever changing shadows it cast.
"The minutiae, lost in the roughness
Emitting a certain, unconventional, gleam
The eye beholds but the mind rejects
To stand, but for a moment and allow the forces to shape you
Vague lines become sharp, condensed thoughts loosened and allowed to drift
A clarity presented unburdened by time
The briefest of halos appearing just out of view only to fade when pursued"
